Performing arts centres
On weekends, head to the theatre to expose the kids to the magic that happens live on stage and instil them with proper theatre etiquette.
KL is blessed with three dynamic performing arts centres – Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac), PJ Live Arts and Damansara Performing Arts Centre (DPAC) – in addition to independent presenters such as Masakini Theatre Company, Theatre Lounge Café and Theatre KuAsh at Pusat Kreatif Kanak-kanak Tuanku Bainun.
PJ Live Arts is known for showcasing both local and international productions including musical theatre, puppetry, educational shows and plays based on popular books; while older kids and teens might enjoy the variety of shows at Theare Lounge Café.
Appreciate classical music at the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), which invests much care and attention to curating its Family Fun Day (FFD) programme. The concerts in this series are held during weekends, are an hour-long at most, encourage audience participation, and shirk strict dress codes to make it an afternoon the whole family can enjoy.
