Sights Batu Caves
Gombak District (+603 2287 9422). Located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves is an important site for Hindus and a popular tourist attraction. Carved into the spectacular limestones are a number of caves, the largest and most impressive being Temple Cave. This becomes the focus of worship during Thaipusam, the annual festival in honour of the god Lord Murugan. The north-east side of the hill, the Damai Caves, is popular with rock climbers, spelunkers and abseilers.
