22-31 St Anne’s Feast Catholics celebrate St Anne’s Feast with a ten-day prayer ritual to remember the mother of the Virgin Mary. A candlelight vigil is held on the day of the feast itself (July 26) at the church in Bukit Mertajam. Pilgrims from around Malaysia and the region gather to pray, observe their vows, and place offerings to St Anne. The church was founded in 1846 and is one of the most important Catholic churches in Malaysia.
