Time Out Penang Visitors Guide - - Stay -

Situated in the heart of historic George Town, Penang, 23LOVELANE HOTEL is an oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of this UNESCO World Heritage city. A blend of vintage and modern, this 150-year-old building was lovingly restored within strict UNESCO guidelines yet stylishly equipped with all the conveniences of a modern hotel. The hotel was formerly a private residence and is the only stand-alone building on this row of shophouses. Gated, secured, with its own landscaped gardens, and featuring the only coconut tree in the city, 23LOVELANE HOTEL stands out amongst the crowds.

The main building consists of 10 suites while another 4 suites are situated in pre-war shophouses within walking distance. The interior concept was cleverly tailored to feature classic furniture and period antiques whilst juxtaposing it with contemporary artwork, sourced mainly from South East Asia and the surrounding region. Provocative, exotic sculptures and crafts dot the hotel, much to the delight of art aficionados.

Good news for the bookworms, there is a library on the first floor which stocks all genres of books and board games. Hang out, relax, read, play games or browse the internet, treat the library as your own man/woman cave. WiFi is available throughout the building.

When hunger strikes, head to SteakFrites@23. The adjacent restaurant serves the finest steak in town with its own special magical sauce, and is available to the public nightly on weekdays and also for lunch on weekends. This charming restaurant with a long bar is the breakfast place for our in-house guests.

Having won numerous awards in its five-year history, 23LOVELANE HOTEL continuously strives to raise our standards, improve quality of our services and ensure guests have a comfortable and relaxing stay.
