What item are people most likely to leave in their cars overnight?

A recent Jiffy Lube survey showed that more than half of people litter their cars with leftover food and drink containers, which allows illness-causing organisms (E coli, salmonella) to thrive, says Kelly Reynolds, PHD, an associate professor of environmental health sciences at the University of Arizona in Tucson. And A and C are right behind—one-fifth and one-tenth of people, respectively, leave these overnight. Moisture from the resulting bodily fluids can increase humidity in the car, extending the survival of E coli and other bacteria by weeks. Clean out your car nightly, and disinfect it with antibacterial wipes weekly.
