This year, he in­tro­duces Sexy Ruby, his lat­est per­fume and the most sen­sual yet. Here, he spills the beans on ev­ery­thing per­fume, from the im­por­tance of fra­grance to him to his fra­grance pet peeve.

Sexy Ruby is quite a de­par­ture from your pre­vi­ous fra­grances. Tell us your jour­ney in creat­ing it.

It’s a lit­tle more sen­sual while still be­ing very glam­orous. It started with the ruby, of course – a multi-faceted, ra­di­ant and op­u­lent gem that is in­stantly de­sir­able. I wanted to bot­tle that and cre­ate some­thing that would be an in­stant con­fi­dence boost to women. To keep it glam­orous yet mod­ern, we mixed lighter fem­i­nine notes with deeper san­dal­wood and musk.
