If your recent workout has left you with sore muscles and some aches and pains, try eating ginger. Researches at the University of Georgia found that consuming 2g of raw or heat-treated ginger a day can reduce post-workout muscle soreness by 25 per cent. That’s because ginger contains anti-inflammatory compounds and oils that have demonstrated painkilling and sedative effects in animal studies.
