Frame Football Malta at Hamrun Spartans Nursery
Hamrun Spartans FC Youth Nursery hosted Frame Football Malta (FFM) as part of the UEFA Grassroots Week organised by the Malta Football Association’s Technical Centre Grassroots Department and the Youth Football Association.
Frame Football Malta is the local body of a new unique version of football for children and youths who make use of walking frames. FFM have over 20 children practising football and this was the ideal opportunity for these young children to have fun through sports.
The event hosted by Hamrun Spartans FC in their nursery pitch involved four children from FFM who joined forces with eight U12 youngsters of the Hamrun Spartans Nursery under the guidance of Coach Antonio Grech Barone and Nursery Head Coach Stefan Sultana.
Spartans prolific striker Saturday Nanapere also participated in this event whose main objective was to get these young kids to have fun through the game of football.
Following the UEFA Grassroots Week, Hamrun Spartans Youth Nursery have agreed over an agreement with FFM in order to host similar session on a weekly basis over the weekends.
Hamrun Spartans FC Nursery also confirmed that FFM will also be included in the Nursery Easter holidays main event during the Tony Bajada Memorial Football Festival.
Hamrun Spartans FC via their Youth Nursery encourage other football nurseries to support this group in organising such events for a good cause.
The Spartans Youth Nursery believes that this makes part of the Club’s Elite Academy restructuring programme that will soon come into place and should be a role model in the social responsibility sector to others in order to support these groups and entities.
