Six Pre­mier League play­ers sus­pended

Six Pre­mier League play­ers were yes­ter­day sus­pended by the MFA Dis­ci­plinary Com­mis­sioner fol­low­ing last week­end’s matches.

Gzira’s Robert Pinho de Souza was banned for two matches while Clyde Borg (Flo­ri­ana), Jo­ceano da Silva San­tos (Gzira), Njongo Lobe Priso Dod­ing (Mosta), Ser­gio Fer­nan­dez Pren­des and Rogelio An­to­nio Van Horn Avila Filho (Tarx­ien) were sus­pended for one match.

Robert is ruled out of Gzira’s next two games against Pem­broke and Balzan. Jo­ceano will also miss the Pem­broke game. Priso will miss the game against Birkirkara, Clyde Borg the clash with Valletta and Ser­gio Pren­des and Rogelio Avila the clash be­tween Tarx­ien and Hamrun.

Mean­while in the First Divi­sion, Dy­lan Agius (Fgura), Quincy Breg­man (Mqabba) and Alessio Cas­sar (Qormi) were sus­pended for one match while in the Sec­ond Divi­sion, Mat­tia Men­tosa (St. Ge­orge’s) was sus­pended for one match, Aaron Hili (St. Ge­orge’s) for two matches, Sig­giewi coach Saviour De­bono Grech for one match and At­tard kit man­ager Ed­ward Cata­nia for six matches.

Miguel Agius of Ta’ Xbiex were banned for one match in Divi­sion 3.
