Val­letta de­buts on the in­ter­na­tional sport arena with Global Run Val­letta

Elite ath­letes and run­ners have a new run­ning course to add to their sea­son, ex­cept that the new­est be­ing added to the in­ter­na­tional race cir­cuit is set in the spec­tac­u­lar ambience of one of the world’s most his­tor­i­cal cities.

Global Run Val­letta (GRV) has been planned as an an­nual event, to be­come known among es­tab­lished city-branded races. With a race course that me­an­ders around the 320 mon­u­ments of the UN­ESCO-listed City of Val­letta, GRV 2016 is ex­pected to be a high-qual­ity sport­ing fea­ture for both run­ners and spec­ta­tors to en­joy. The race is the brain­child of Global Ports Hold­ing – the ma­jor­ity share­holder in Val­letta Cruise Port – who in­vests in com­mu­ni­ties and their qual­ity of life as part of its so­cial en­gage­ment com­mit­ment.

The run­ners hit the pave­ments of Val­letta on Sun­day, 30 Oc­to­ber with the op­tion of 10K run, a 5K run, or a 5K walk. The fee to en­ter the 10K run is €10, and €5 for the 5K run and the 5K walk. The en­tire money col­lected from reg­is­tra­tion fees will be all do­nated to a cho­sen char­ity.
