Heritage Malta’s museums open for free on World Tourism Day
Heritage Malta will once again take part in the World Tourism Day, celebrated on the 27th September. On this occasion Heritage Malta will open some of its museums and sites in Malta and in Gozo for free.
The museums in Malta include the National Museum of Archeology in Valletta, Għar Dalam in Birżebbuġa, the Inquisitor’s Palace in Vittoriosa and the Domus Romana in Rabat.
The Heritage Malta museums that will open for free in Gozo include the Gozo Museum of Archeology, the Gran Castello Historic House, the Gozo Nature Museum and the Old Prison. All these sites are located in the Citadel.
The purpose of the World Tourism Day is to foster awareness among the international community of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
