In­jured Ju­ven­tus duo Ru­gani and Asamoah out for 6 weeks

Ju­ven­tus is count­ing the cost of Satur­day’s hard-fought 1-0 win at Palermo af­ter both Daniele Ru­gani and Kwadwo Asamoah were ruled out for six weeks. Ru­gani had to be taken off af­ter half an hour in Si­cily, while Asamoah also in­jured his right knee in the fi­nal min­utes, leav­ing Ju­ven­tus with 10 men be­cause Mas­si­m­il­iano Al­le­gri had al­ready used up all his sub­sti­tutes. Asamoah will need surgery af­ter tear­ing car­ti­lage and Ru­gani has a strained lig­a­ment. Ju­ven­tus said yes­ter­day that both are ex­pected to re­turn in 45 days. It is a blow for the five-time Serie A cham­pion with Medhi Be­na­tia and Clau­dio Marchi­sio still out in­jured. Ju­ven­tus vis­its Di­namo Zagreb on Tues­day and needs a win af­ter draw­ing 0-0 with Sevilla in their open­ing Cham­pi­ons League match.
