Notte Bianca at the Malta Postal Mu­seum

Ev­ery year, Val­letta comes to life dur­ing Notte Bianca. This year, this event will take place next to­mor­row.

The Malta Postal Mu­seum will be open dur­ing this year’s Notte Bianca, promis­ing the pub­lic an en­joy­able ex­pe­ri­ence while ex­plor­ing the his­tory of the post in Malta. This new her­itage at­trac­tion is housed in a re­stored town­house at 135, Arch­bishop Street, Val­letta and in­cludes items of postal his­tory within a dis­play of doc­u­ments and arte­facts.

Ad­di­tion­ally, dur­ing Notte Bianca, the Malta Postal Mu­seum will fea­ture an ex­hi­bi­tion of pho­to­graphic en­tries from ‘The Post in Pic­tures’ pho­to­graphic com­pe­ti­tion. An oc­ca­sion card com­mem­o­rat­ing the par­tic­i­pa­tion of Mal­taPost in the Notte Bianca 2016 will be is­sued to­mor­row and will be avail­able for sale from the Malta Postal Mu­seum dur­ing Notte Bianca.

Fol­low­ing 1 Oc­to­ber, the card will then be avail­able for sale from all post of­fices in Malta and Gozo, on­line at www.mal­taphi­ or by mail from the Philatelic Bu­reau, Mal­taPost p.l.c. 305, Qormi Road, Marsa, MTP 1001.

The Malta Postal Mu­seum will be par­tic­i­pat­ing in Science in the City on Fri­day 30 Septem­ber and will be open for the pub­lic from 6pm till mid­night.
