Mixed results for the Italian teams
Two wins and two losses is the summary of the Italian teams after Roma and Fiorentina claimed two big wins at home, while Sassuolo and Inter lost way. The most disapponting result came from Prague as Inter lost again this time to Sparta Prague 3-1. Defensive blunders permitted the Czech side to take a double advantage in the first 25 minutes from Vaclav Kadlec. Rodrgio Palacio reduced the margin on the 71st minute but after Ranocchia was sent off, Mario Holek was sent off on the 76th minute. Sassuolo lost also 3-1 to Belgian side Genk. Eusebio di Francesco’s side also were 2-0 down in the first 25 minutes. Genk made them 3-0 after the hour mark while Matteo Politano scored the consolation goal on the 65th minute. Fiorentina claimed their first win in Group J when they easily defeated Qarabag 5-1. The win looked easily but the goals came only after Elvin Yunuszade was sent off on the half hour mark. In six minutes before the break, Fiorentina scored three goals by a brace by Babacar and Kalinic. Zarate scored also a brace in the second half. Roma beat Astra Giurgiu 4-0 with goals from Strootman, Fazio, Fabricio o.g and Salah. In other games, Ibrahimovic gave United a third consecutive win in all competitions with a 1-0 against Zorya.
