55th edition of national competitions
Twenty-one weeks have passed on from the end of the 2015/16 season and we are only a fewdays away from the new season. Hours and hours of planning, organization and hard work from the committee over the summer months to ensure another successful season for the Malta Darts Association which is currently undergoing a full re-branding exercise.
Early indications point towards a three horse race for the major honour in division one with current Champions Kalkara St Joseph, Floriana Ajax A and the newly promoted Mosta Horseshoe Bar A battling it out to be crowned National champions. There is little to separate the remaining five teams and a fierce relegation battle is on the cards.
In division two, anything can happen with no less than six of the eight teams pre-season target being that of finishing in the top two spots which ensures promotion to the highest division.
Next season will also see the re-introduction of division three which will host all seven new teams enrolled to take part in the national leagues.
