Ji­val, Dingli and Mosta win again

Ji­val reg­is­tered an­other good win - the sec­ond from three games - in the MSV Life League when they beat Tal-Qroqq 9-3.

For the first time since they started tak­ing part in the League, they oc­cupy the first place in the stand­ings.

They havbe two good for­eign­ers who are mak­ing all the dif­fer­ence. These are Abugella Wa­hashi, who is the top scorer at the mo­ment, and new player De­jan Petkovic who im­pressed with his per­for­mance.

It was a game full of ten­sion and Tal-Qroqq had to play the last 40 min­utes with five play­ers when Jes­mond Bar­tolo was sent out for pass­ing re­marks to the ref­eree.

It was the sec­ond con­sec­u­tive game that Tal-Qroqq had a player sent out, which is un­for­tu­nate as the team is find­ing dif­fi­culty to cope. Ji­val were lead­ing 3-1 at half time, and they went on to win com­fort­ably 9-2 af­ter dom­i­nat­ing their op­po­nents.

Dingli De­sana gave an ex­cel­lent per­for­mance as champions. They dom­i­nated the sec­ond half to regis­ter their sec­ond win - 10-5. The game was played at a fast pace from one end to the other.

Dingli, how­ever, were too ef­fi­cient, show­ing good moves with Jef­frey Gauci who scored four and Wil­liam Borg show­ing class scor­ing six goals be­tween them.

Mosta Shaggy Pub also had a good per­for­mance with Ri­corico Tarik al­ways dan­ger­ous with his play apart from his ex­pe­ri­ence. They went for the break 5-1 in the lead, and never looked back. They dom­i­nated all out in the sec­ond half and won eas­ily 12-2. De­spite fac­ing younger op­po­nents, Zur­rieq kept on try­ing up to the end. They are good sports­men and show­ing re­spect to all teams and of­fi­cials.
