Toi Toi, Teatru Ma­noel ed­u­ca­tion pro­gramme

Toi Toi, the Teatru Ma­noel Ed­u­ca­tion Pro­gramme con­ceived and spear­headed by Arts Ed­u­ca­tion Con­sul­tant Rosetta De­bat­tista, is now in its sixth year with an ex­cit­ing pro­gramme planned for the 2016-2017 sea­son.

With events span­ning mu­sic, opera, drama, and dance, and per­for­mances in English and Mal­tese, the pro­gramme is aimed at au­di­ences of all ages, with its fo­cus on the very young, the very old and ev­ery­one else in be­tween.

This year will see the in­tro­duc­tion of new items in­clud­ing Toi Toi Jazz for Kids, and Fla­menco; while Teatru Ma­noel Youth Theatre and Teatru Ma­noel Youth Opera con­tinue to build on their suc­cesses of years past.

Toi Toi will also be present in var­i­ous na­tional fes­ti­vals, with a num­ber of an­cil­lary events in­clud­ing trea­sure hunts held in the theatre, work­shops, and talks en­hanc­ing the en­ter­tain­ment and ed­u­ca­tional as­pect of the pro­gramme.

This year Toi Toi is also ad­dress­ing schools around Malta with more than 50 per­for­mances aimed at schools and held at the theatre as well as cur­ricu­lum­based in­ter­ac­tive events that will be held within the schools them­selves.

“It is a priv­i­lege to work with a team that is com­mit­ted to the mis­sion of bring­ing the arts to so­ci­ety at large,” says Ms De­bat­tista. “We wel­come you to the 2016-17 Toi Toi sea­son of events.”
