Ryanair pas­sen­ger fined for crap­ping on run­way

A Ryanair cus­tomer has been fined £2,700 for pulling down his pants and crap­ping on the tar­mac af­ter get­ting off a plane.

The man, aged 68, was said to be a state of ‘mild ag­i­ta­tion’ when he shocked more than 50 other pas­sen­gers by defe­cat­ing where he stood,

The al fresco toi­let break hap­pened be­tween the run­way and the ter­mi­nal build­ing at Brin­disi Air­port in Italy, af­ter the plane took off in Manch­ester. Af­ter the man re­lieved him­self on Septem­ber 30, he was ar­rested. He is be­lieved to have made the trip to go on hol­i­day in Lecce. But the va­ca­tion pig­gy­bank had to be raided when he was fined €3,000, ac­cord­ing to Ital­ian me­dia, for ‘acts con­trary to pub­lic de­cency’.

A Ryanair spokesman said: ‘An in­di­vid­ual was de­tained by lo­cal po­lice at Brin­disi Air­port on Septem­ber 30. This is a mat­ter for lo­cal po­lice.’
