Tech­ni­cal Board to an­a­lyse sub­mis­sions on planned Mosta un­der­ground car park

Projects Malta has an­nounced the set­ting up of a Tech­ni­cal Board, which will in­clude a rep­re­sen­ta­tive of the Arch­dio­cese of Malta, to an­a­lyse sub­mis­sions in re­spect of a planned un­der­ground car park in Mosta.

Ar­chi­tect Adrian Mif­sud, a geotech­ni­cal en­gi­neer, has been ap­pointed to rep­re­sent the gov­ern­ment on the board. The Arch­dio­cese will be rep­re­sented by Cu­ria Prop­erty Man­ager Ray Bon­nici.

It was agreed that the board should be given all tech­ni­cal stud­ies re­lated to the sub­mis­sions and will only pro­ceed if these stud­ies show that the pro­posed project will not neg­a­tively Mosta ro­tunda.

The project, which was an­nounced only re­cently, is in­tended to cre­ate some 350 new park­ing spa­ces. The ex­ist­ing ground-level car park at the side of the church will be turned into an open space. af­fect the
