Three in hospi­tal after three-car crash in St Paul’s Bay

Three peo­ple are in hospi­tal after be­ing in­jured in a three-car ac­ci­dent in Bur­mar­rad Road, St Paul’s Bay, yes­ter­day morn­ing, the po­lice said.

A BMW and a Mazda be­ing driven in the di­rec­tion of Mosta were in­volved in a col­li­sion, with the driver of the BMW los­ing con­trol of the ve­hi­cle and crash­ing into a Hyundai be­ing driven in the op­po­site di­rec­tion.

The Hyundai driver, a 67-yearold Bri­ton, and a 60-year-old woman and a nine-month old boy who were trav­el­ling with him, were taken to hospi­tal. The woman suf­fered griev­ous in­juries while the other two were slightly hurt.

The BMW driver, a Turk­ish man aged 50 and re­sid­ing in St Paul’s Bay, and the Mazda driver, a 26-year-old man of Qormi, were un­hurt.
