Steve Camilleri named ASA Player of the Year
Steve Camilleri has been voted the 2016 Player of the Year by the ASA.
The player has therefore won this honour a record six times – the previous five were in 2007, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2015.
Apart from finishing top scorer in the Premier Division, he also made a name for himself in the European Championship in Belgrade in January where he also ended up as the top scorer of such a prestigious championship. There he scored 21 goals.
Camilleri is also a player of Sicilian club CC Ortigia with whom he plays in Italy’s Serie A1.
