Din l-Art Ħelwa 51st An­niver­sary Au­tumn Con­cert and Din­ner

Din l-Art Ħelwa’s tra­di­tional Au­tumn Con­cert and Din­ner will this year be held at the Grand Hall of Val­letta’s St John’s Cav­a­lier on Fri­day 11 Novem­ber.

The venue has made avail­able by cour­tesy of H.E. Ing. Um­berto Di Ca­pua, Am­bas­sador of the Sov­er­eign Mil­i­tary Hospi­taller Or­der of St. John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta.

The high­light of the evening will be a string per­for­mance by the in­ter­na­tion­ally ac­claimed Rot­ter­dam En­sem­ble, com­prised of Artis­tic Di­rec­tor Mro. Roberto Bel­trán-Zavala, Ma­rina Meer­son - First Vi­olin, Ni­co­lai Bern­stein - Sec­ond Vi­olin, Maria Sofia Espiga Figueiredo Fon­seca – Vi­ola, Wi­j­nand Hulst - Cello, Gjorgji Cin­cievski – Dou­ble­bass who will per­form works by Von Biber, Vi­valdi and Shostakovich. This con­cert is be­ing made pos­si­ble thanks to the gen­er­ous sup­port of Dr. John Vas­sallo & Dr. Mar­i­anne Noll.

The Rot­ter­dam En­sem­ble is has been de­scribed by the Euro­pean spe­cialised press as ‘a su­perb en­sem­ble’, formed by a pas­sion­ate group of mu­si­cians with unique en­ergy.

Con­duc­tor Mro. Roberto Bel­trán-Zavala is rapidly earn­ing an in­ter­na­tional rep­u­ta­tion for his im­pres­sive, elec­tri­fy­ing per­for­mances. He has re­cently been ap­pointed chief con­duc­tor of the Orquesta Sin­fónica de la Univer­si­dad de Gua­na­ju­ato in Mex­ico.

Wel­come drinks will be served at 7.15pm and the per­for­mance will start at 8pm. Af­ter the con­cert guests will be treated to a gourmet din­ner served by Os­borne Cater­ers.

Tick­ets are to be booked against a do­na­tion of €56 per per­son, all in­clu­sive. Dress Code is Lounge Suit. This event is al­ways in very high de­mand, so early book­ing is rec­om­mended.
