Wardija and Dingli go top as Jival lose again
Jival lost another game against the strong team of Wardija while Dingli Desana registered a good win beating Tal-Qroqq. Zabbar gained their first win beating Valletta Masters.
Wardij ahad a comfortable win against Jival 8-2 and went top of the standings with two other teams on maximum points. The Brazilian Eduardo do Nashimento (Il-Bizu) opened the score for Wardija after only two minutes and soon after they got the second by Michael Borg Olivier, who had another good game also scoring a hat-trick. Before both teams went for the break, Abugella Wahashi got one for Jival. When the second half started it seemed that Jival were going to fight it out when Jean Pierre Abdilla got the draw, but from then on, Wardija dominated and Jival were not in the game any more.
Zabbar registered their first win from four games when they beat Valletta 10-6.
It was an interesting game with Zabbar taking their chances, being efficient in their counter attacks. Gilbert Scerri was at his best and scored four, whilst Valletta lost too many chances.
They lost a good chance to gain an equaliser before half time when the Zabbar goalkeeper saved the penalty taken by Kurt Azzopardi.
Dingli Desana had an easy win beating Tal-Qroqq 18-2 to register the highest score so far this season.
