Earlier today Fondazzjoni Ceratonia, Alternattiva Demokratika‘s cultural and educational foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Sociology of the University of Malta held a seminar with the theme: ‘Towards a Zero Carbon Society’. The Green European Foundation to which Fondazzjoni Ceratonia is affiliated also lent its help to promote the seminar.

The seminar’s objective was to discuss input from academics and the public on moving towards a zero carbon future.

AD Secretary General Ralph Cassar stated: “We are making a commitment to develop policies leading to a zero carbon society. A zero carbon society is possible, as other countries are showing if there is the political will to get there.”

Mr Cassar added: “Countries and firms worldwide are starting to take this concept seriously. It’s high time that Malta starts planning for a carbon neutral future as well if we want a better quality of life for all. AD will continue to be at the forefront when it comes to working to improve the quality of life of all residents of Malta and Gozo.”
