Elmo Insurance – Pink October Campaign 2016
Elmo Insurance has organised another corporate social event in conjunction with the Pink October Campaign, the aim of which is to generate awareness about breast cancer and raise funds for the purchase of equipment involved in the treatment of and research into breast cancer. The early detection of cancer can only be achieved if people are taught how to recognise the symptoms.
On this special day, all the staff wore a touch of pink and showed their full support by participating in the multiple functions organised. On the same day, the Blood Drive, in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service, was at Elmo’s head office in Ta’ Xbiex and several employees and clients donated blood.
Members of staff made delicious cakes which were purchased for a donation. A generous amount was collected and the company’s directors contributed by doubling the amount collected. All the donations will be made to Europa Donna, which is in partnership with Pink October.
