Pink Day at AX Group

Malta Independent - - BUSINESS -

AX Group joined the international campaign in generating awareness to help fight breast cancer. Recently, during the month of October, the company’s properties, namely The Palace, The Victoria Hotel, Seashells Resort at Suncrest, Sunny Coast Resort & Spa, AX Holdings and Hilltop took part in a ‘Wear It Pink Day’, to show solidarity with the women battling this disease.

A good number of employees took part in this initiative as the company hosted pink-themed events to upsurge consciousness in fighting breast cancer. Mary Alamango, Assistant Housekeeper, The Palace & The Victoria Hotel, Sliema said that “the mission of this worldwide campaign is to support those affected by breast cancer through early detection, education and support services hence my colleagues and myself are proud to help in this good cause and raise funds for research.”

Today many companies are joining this campaign to endorse mindfulness for a good cause and thanks to this dress down day, for all the staff members working with AX Group, the company is promoting a strong message of optimism through cancer. “Our hope is that women in our community who see our collective efforts will be reminded to do regular breast exams and to book those mammogram appointments. Our hope is that through this simple dress down day, lives are saved,” said Denise Xuereb, Construction Director.
