20-year old charged with be­ing in pos­ses­sion of and traf­fick­ing ec­stasy, co­caine and cannabis

A 20-year-old man was yes­ter­day charged with a string of drug-re­lated of­fences fol­low­ing a po­lice raid in Paceville and at his home.

An­gus Ca­men­zuli, 20, who lives in St Ju­lian’s and At­tard de­nied traf­fick­ing and be­ing in pos­ses­sion of ec­stasy, co­caine and cannabis.

He was also charged with com­mit­ting the crime in the vicin­ity of a place fre­quented by youths, re­laps­ing and com­mit­ting a crime while serv­ing a pro­ba­tion or­der.

The court heard how the ac­cused was found to be car­ry­ing around 100 ec­stasy pills and some 11 sa­chets of co­caine dur­ing a po­lice raid in Paceville. Of­fi­cers then found some 900 grams of cannabis grass in his garage.

Dr Vic­tor Bugeja was ap­pointed as le­gal aid lawyer. The ac­cused made a re­quest for bail, which was de­nied by Mag­is­trate Donatella Frendo Dimech.
