13-year-old boy seriously injured in Rabat motorcycle accident
A 13-year-old boy who was riding pillion on a motorcycle was seriously injured when the bike crashed in Rabat yesterday morning. The accident occurred in Valletta Road at around 11.45 am.
The police said that the motorcycle was being driven by a 50year-old man from Qormi, who lost control of the bike, which toppled over.
The boy was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance where doctors found that he had suffered serious injuries. Rabat police are investigating.
In a separate case, a 55-year-old man from Rabat was seriously injured when he was hit by a vehicle in Dingli Road, Rabat, at around 11.15 am. The man was hit by a Toyota Vitz, which was being driven by a 70-year-old man, also from Rabat.
