13-year-old boy se­ri­ously in­jured in Rabat mo­tor­cy­cle ac­ci­dent

A 13-year-old boy who was rid­ing pil­lion on a mo­tor­cy­cle was se­ri­ously in­jured when the bike crashed in Rabat yes­ter­day morn­ing. The ac­ci­dent oc­curred in Val­letta Road at around 11.45 am.

The po­lice said that the mo­tor­cy­cle was be­ing driven by a 50year-old man from Qormi, who lost con­trol of the bike, which top­pled over.

The boy was taken to Mater Dei Hospi­tal by am­bu­lance where doc­tors found that he had suf­fered se­ri­ous in­juries. Rabat po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.

In a sep­a­rate case, a 55-year-old man from Rabat was se­ri­ously in­jured when he was hit by a ve­hi­cle in Dingli Road, Rabat, at around 11.15 am. The man was hit by a Toy­ota Vitz, which was be­ing driven by a 70-year-old man, also from Rabat.
