Ma­noel Theatre gets new CEO

El­iz­a­beth Ebe­jer has been ap­pointed new Chief Ex­ec­u­tive Of­fi­cer of Teatru Ma­noel.

Ebe­jer ob­tained a Bach­e­lor of Arts de­gree in His­tory in 2007 and is cur­rently read­ing for a Mas­ter’s de­gree within the Fac­ulty for So­cial Well­be­ing at the Univer­sity of Malta. She was in­volved in var­i­ous re­search projects con­ducted by the Fac­ulty of Arts, Univer­sity of Malta and the Pub­lic Broad­cast­ing Au­thor­ity. Ebe­jer’s re­search has con­trib­uted to com­mu­nity projects as well as au­dio­vi­sual and theatre pro­duc­tions.

As the new CEO of our na­tional theatre, Ebe­jer ac­knowl­edges the im­por­tance of work­ing closely with the theatre’s board of di­rec­tors to con­tinue fos­ter­ing the ideal of TM’s mis­sion and con­trib­ute to­wards the en­rich­ment of Malta’s cul­tural life.

It is Ebe­jer’s aim that Teatru Ma­noel will con­tinue to serve as a plat­form for artists to ex­cel and to re­main com­mit­ted to the pre­sen­ta­tion of qual­ity theatre and mu­si­cal pro­duc­tions with a strong in­tent to de­velop new au­di­ences for the arts.

She will be re­plac­ing out­go­ing CEO Ray At­tard who has held the post for the past seven years.
