Malta International Organ Festival receives support from APS Bank
The third edition of the Malta International Organ Festival, which this year will take place from the 19th November until the 9th December, is being sponsored by APS Bank.
This edition will feature a mixture of local talent and world famous, top-notch musicians who will perform in Malta’s most magnificent churches, basilicas and cathedrals.
17 concerts will be held in total, with the highlights being the opening concert by the world famous virtuoso Wayne Marshall, together with the local baritone Joseph Lia, a concert for violin, cello and organ at Bir Miftuħ Medieval Chapel, a concert by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra Brass Ensemble, Christian Schmitt and Heribert at St Augustine’s Parish Church, and the closing concert at St Paul’s Anglican Cathedral.
Audiences will also be able to enjoy performances by organ solo, organ and voice at Balzan Parish Church, Theme and Variations on Maltese Feast Antiphons, the Giesme Choir from Lithuania at St Helen’s Basilica in Birkirkara and two concerts in Gozo for organ, clarinet and cello.
