Fun Day for Government Adult Centres
The Methodians’ Help Fund, a group of voluntary members within Methode Electronics Malta, for the 16th consecutive year, once again organized the Fun Day for the Governmental Adult Training Centres of Malta and Gozo. The event took place on Friday, 4 November at the Ta’ Qali Basketball Pavilion and was a huge success.
The opening ceremony commenced at 10am with the partaking 11 Centers, totaling some 550 clients, parading onto the pitch. Cheer leaders, formed by clients from each partaking Center, led each group onto the pitch.
President Marie Louise Coleiro attended the event and was greeted by The Methodians’ Help Fund Committee President Gaetano Barbara and members of the committee. The President delivered a speech whereby she complimented the altruism shown by Methode. A trophy, commemorating the 30 years since the Methodians’ Help Fund was founded, was presented to her by one of the clients attending the event, while a handmade gift, prepared by the centres, was presented to her by one of the clients.
A full day’s programme of activities ensued with special games prepared for the attending clients.
At the end of the activities each Principal from the attending Centers was presented with a commemorative trophy while being cheered by the participants.
On the other hand, all participants were presented with a medal; it is the policy of The Methodians Help Fund that everyone is a success and a winner.
The Methodians’ Help Fund was set up 30 years ago and is a voluntary committee within Methode Electronics Malta Ltd. It takes care of employees when they require special needs and welfare. It also organises social activities from time to time.
Ex-employees of Methode Electronics Malta who were past members of the committee are honorary members of the committee.
