51-year-old Dingli man hit by shot­gun pel­lets while hunt­ing with a friend

A 51-year-old man from Dingli was in­jured yes­ter­day when he was hit by shot­gun pel­lets in a hunt­ing ac­ci­dent.

The in­ci­dent took place at around 8.40am in a field in Triq Ħal Tar­tarni.

The po­lice said the man was out hunt­ing with a friend, a 30-yearold man who is also from Dingli, when he ac­ci­den­tally suf­fered gunshot wounds.

The in­jured man was taken to Mater Dei Hos­pi­tal where he was found to be suf­fer­ing from se­ri­ous in­juries.

Mag­is­trate Ian Far­ru­gia is lead­ing an in­quiry.
