Ge­or­gia wins Ju­nior Euro­vi­sion Song Con­test

Mariam Ma­madashvili from Ge­or­gia won this year’s edi­tion of the Ju­nior Euro­vi­sion Song Con­test, which was hosted by Malta at the Mediter­ranean Con­fer­ence Cen­tre. Mariam’s song is called Mzeo, which means ‘sun’. It’s the third time that Ge­or­gia has won the com­pe­ti­tion, set­ting a new record for the Ju­nior Euro­vi­sion. Ge­or­gia scored a to­tal of 239 points from the in­ter­na­tional ex­pert and the kids’ ju­ries plus the re­sult from the Ex­pert Panel. Ar­me­nia’s Anahit and Mary fin­ished sec­ond with 232 points with Italy’s Fi­amma Boc­cia fin­ished in third place with 209 points. Malta’s Christina Ma­grin fin­ished in sixth place with her song Para­chute, pick­ing up 191 votes. Seven­teen coun­tries took part.
