Mellieha continue their positive streak
Qrendi and Zejtun Corinthians featured in a highly spirited 2-2 draw at the Sirens Stadium in the match of the weekend.
Qrendi took a two goal lead through Dhonatan Santos da Hora and Giovanni Galea early in the second half but Mauro Galea scored two goals to equalise apart from also missing a penalty with Zejtun ending the match on a high.
San Gwann failed to capitalise on the draw between Qrendi and Zejtun as they also ended their match against Siggiewi in a goalless draw at the Luxol Stadium.
Zabbar St Patrick were the only team to take advantage at the top when they managed to beat Mgarr United in the first match at the Charles Abela Stadium.
Clayton Camilleri opened the scoring after 10 minutes while Samuel Buhagiar doubled on 67 minutes.
Two minutes later, James Borg reduced the deficit for Mgarr but Zabbar held out to claim the three points.

In the first match at the Luxol Stadium, Swieqi United beat Ghaxaq by two goals to nil with Kenneth Ezekie and Roderick Taliana providing the winning goals on 14 and 66 minutes respectively.
Gudja United registered their second win of the season when they beat Attard by two goals to one.
Asad Boomgard scored twice for Gudja with Attard temporarily equalising through a Firaz Aboulezz penalty.
In the Friday night match, Birzebbugia St Peters defeated St George’s by two goals to nil with Kenneth Mercieca and Ronnie Celeste scoring for the South seasiders.
