Kalkara at the top
Kalkara rose to the top spot of the Table when they hammered Marsaskala FC by four goals to nil in the first match at the Sirens Stadium.
Benji Ayuba, Timmy Thomas (2) and Ryan Sell scored for Kalkara.
St Lucia rose to third place with a fine 3-1 win over Ta’ Xbiex in the first match at the Luxol Stadium. Gaynor D’Amato put St Lucia ahead after 45 minutes with Andrew Micallef equalising after 62 minutes.
Sebastian Perdomo put the Saints ahead again after 73 minutes with Gilbert Camilleri sealing the issue a minute from time.
Msida St Joseph lost further ground in the race for promotion when they were defeated by Zurrieq through a solitary goal by Nathan Zammit after just four minutes.
St Venera also lost their unbeaten record when they went down 1-0 to Dingli Swallows with Luke Galea scoring the winning goal on 42 minutes.
Luqa St Andrews moved to third place with a goalless draw against Kirkop United while Mdina Knights hammered Mtarfa 5-1 at the Luxol Stadium.
The goals came from Omar Smeirafter 2’ for Mtarfa, Matthew Fenech 38’, 88’ Ayrton Buhagiar 45’, Kurt Farrugia 43’and Dylan Mintoff 45+1’ for Mdina Knights.
