Is­land Car Club's 3rd round of 2016/17 cham­pi­onship kicked off at Gne­jna. The weather was warm and skies were clear with a light sea breeze.

Once all race of­fi­cials were in place and all safety of­fi­cers and equip­ment where ready, the guest classes started their en­gines and the race was de­clared to be started.

Mark Mi­callef in his Avon Tyres Rad­i­cal Pro Sport once again took hon­ours for fastest over all , clock­ing an im­pres­sive time of 35.193 shav­ing over a se­cond off his 1st timed run.

Keith Camil­leri, driv­ing his re­li­ably quick Rad­i­cal Fracht Malta fol­lowed closely, fin­ish­ing 2nd, with an equally im­pres­sive time of 35.394 and in 3rd place Zach Zam­mit in his Em­pire Evo Ur­ban Jun­gle stop­ping the clock at 36.043

Di­dier Bugeja was the star of the day win­ning mul­ti­ple cat­e­gories. Di­dier drove his mighty Snow White Meat and Poul­try Peu­geot 106 fault­lessly to clock the fastest front wheel drive and fastest saloon whilst win­ning his class in the process with a time of 41.313 fol­lowed by his brother Roswell Bugeja in his grp 3 Peu­geot 205.

Teddy Aquilina too had a great day driv­ing his Cos­worth pow­ered Es­cort clock­ing a time of 42.312 mak­ing him the fastest Vet­eran and fastest 4 wheel drive on the day.

War­ren Sam­mut showed huge im­prove­ments and took the hon­ours for fastest real wheel drive in his Cos­worth pow­ered Es­cort hit­ting the clock at 43.091.

Is­land Car Club’s 4th round will be held on 4 De­cem­ber.
