New PN MPs Ed­win Vas­sallo and Peter Mi­callef take Par­lia­men­tary oath

Ed­win Vas­sallo and Peter Mi­callef took their places in Par­lia­ment yes­ter­day evening, fol­low­ing the an­nounce­ment that they were elected af­ter a Con­sti­tu­tional Court rul­ing on Fri­day giv­ing the Na­tion­al­ist Party two ex­tra seats.

The Elec­toral Com­mis­sion had met to de­ter­mine which two can­di­dates who con­tested on be­half of the PN were to take a seat in the House of Rep­re­sen­ta­tives court judg­ment.

Mr Vas­sallo, who is the Mosta mayor, and Peter Mi­callef were the two PN can­di­dates who ob­tained the high­est num­ber of votes with­out be­ing elected.
