Malta Independent - - SPORT -

B’Kara and Wardija registered good wins in the MSV LIFE MASTERS League, beating TalQroqq and Marsa respectively.

B’Kara got another three important points after beating bottom club Tal-Qroqq, whilst Wardija after being beaten by Zabbar in their last match, came back with a good win beating Marsa White Stars.

B’Kara extended their positive run by beating Tal-Qroqq winning 16-4, after being 7-3 ahead at the end of the first half.

Tal-Qroqq remain at the bottom end and is the only club that have not won a game yet. B’Kara opened the score after seven minutes and from then on they did not let go.

However, during the late minutes of the first half Tal-Qroqq did react and managed to score three. Tal-Qroqq need more players the likes of Carlos Camenzuli and Antonio Allen, the latter being their best scorer with three. B’Kara played some entertaining football and had Lawrence Vella scoring four goals.

In the other game, Wardija returned to winning ways, registering a comfortable win over Marsa White Stars -- 10-3.

Wardija, who had Rennie Forace suspended, made sure in the first half when they built a 61 advantage. They are still one of the best teams in the league and seem to be determined to make sure to remain among close to the top till the end to challenge for the title.

They play some nice fast flowing football and in this match, they kept possession for a long time. Marsa tried hard to get even but they found it very difficult to react.

Their goalkeeper George Edwards was at his best and made some very good saves.

For Wardija Michael Borg Olivier was again in the picture with some powerful shots, scoring four to go second in the top scorers list. Eduaordo de Nascimento also impressed with some very nice touches and also scoring four goals.
