Four drunk tourists from Malta at­tack Rus­sian girl in the cen­tre of Rome

Three Bri­tish women and a Mal­tese man at­tacked a Rus­sian girl out­side a pub in Rome’s his­toric cen­tre, caus­ing her to be taken to hos­pi­tal, Ital­ian me­dia have re­ported.

The at­tack was said to be un­pro­voked.

The age of the group from Malta var­ied be­tween 23 and 54 years while the Rus­sian girl is 27 years old.

The pub is sit­u­ated in Via del Plebisc­ito in Rome’s his­toric quar­ter.

Af­ter peo­ple present in the pub tried to stop the ag­gres­sion, with­out suc­cess, oth­ers called the po­lice and a de­tach­ment from the nearby Pi­azza Venezia and an­other de­tach­ment rushed on to the scene and saved the girl.

The girl was taken to the nearby Santo Spir­ito hos­pi­tal and was med­i­cated for cuts and bruises.

The Mal­tese group was taken to a po­lice sta­tion and had their de­tails taken.
