Malta Independent - - NEWS -

The Labour Party said yesterday morning that the fact the Simon Busuttil had remained silent after PN star candidate Salvu Mallia repeated comments about Hitler, this time also mentioning Mussolini, and also about the plague, showed “how irrelevant the PN Leader had become.”

It was referring to comments made by Mr Mallia during an interview on INDEPTH, which is produced by The Malta Independent.

“This is offensive not only towards the Prime Minister but also to everyone with a sense of history,” it said, pointing out that Hitler had been responsible for genocide and the start of WW2.

“Salvu Mallia is a caricature of politics. He is insulting people’s intelligence and spreading hate that does not exist. After he insulted the College of European Commissioners because the energy project was approved, Simon Busuttil is failing to condemn Mallia, who is not only insulting his political adversaries but all those who have sense of decency.”
