Syrian man seriously injured in Tarxien fight
A Syrian man was seriously injured on Wednesday evening in a fight involving several other Syrians in Tarxien, the police said yesterday.
The fight took place in Bjagu Galea Street at around 9pm.
Officers from the Rapid Intervention Unit who went on site found a man, aged 23, who resides in Ħamrun, with injuries to his arm. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The man was injured in a fight with a number of other Syrians aged between 21 and 32. Knives, metal and wooden objects were used as weapons, the police said.
