Mapfre Mid­dle­sea pays trib­ute to former CEO

A farewell lunch was held af­ter the Oc­to­ber Board meet­ing of Mapfre Mid­dle­sea for Al­fredo Munoz Perez, the out­go­ing Pres­i­dent and CEO of Mapfre Mid­dle­sea.

A farewell lunch was held af­ter the Oc­to­ber Board meet­ing of Mapfre Mid­dle­sea for Al­fredo Munoz Perez, the out­go­ing Pres­i­dent and CEO of Mapfre Mid­dle­sea. The lunch was held at the House of Four Winds at the kind in­vi­ta­tion of the Chair­man of Bank of Val­letta.

Mr Munoz has left Mapfre Mid­dle­sea af­ter a four year ten­ure as Pres­i­dent and CEO of the com­pany as well as di­rec­tor of MSV Life.

The chair­man Mapfre Mid­dle­sea, Martin Galea paid trib­ute to Mr Munoz ex­cel­lent skills which saw the com­pany grow sub­stan­tially in terms of rev­enue and mar­ket share, as well as prof­itabil­ity. Mr Galea stated that it was a pe­riod of great change within the com­pany as Mr Munoz let its in­te­gra­tion within the Mapfre group, and his lead­er­ship skills en­sured that this was achieved seam­lessly.

Mr Munoz has left Mapfre Mid- dle­sea to take up a se­nior group ap­point­ment at Mapfre’s sub­sidiary in Turkey and the board wished him ev­ery suc­cess in his new post.

John Cas­sar White, as chair­man of MSV echoed the same sen­ti­ments, and on be­half of the com­bined boards of Mapfre Mid­dle­sea and MSV Life wel­comed the new Pres­i­dent and CEO, Felipe Navarro de Chicheri, whose ap­point­ment was an­nounced in Septem­ber of this year.
