Applications for Students’ Maintenance Grants
The Ministry for Education and Employment announces that it started accepting online applications for Students’ Maintenance Grants for academic year 2017/2018.
As part of the ministry’s initiative to simplify application processes, all students, including those at Post-Secondary Level, MCAST, Tertiary Level and those studying in private/foreign institutions, are to apply through the same application.
Students applying for the Students’ Maintenance Grants, including those under the Malta Government Undergraduate Scheme and those applying for the Supplementary Maintenance Grants, are to submit their application by end November. Students are to ensure that all relevant documentation is uploaded to the online application.
During the last academic year, more than 19,000 students submitted an online application for Students’ Maintenance Grants. The government allocated a budget of €28 million to cover payment of stipends and grants for the year 2017.
