Univer­sity of the Third Age Malta: Reg­is­tra­tion for the 2017/2018 aca­demic year

The Univer­sity of the Third Age (U3A) will be ac­cept­ing ap­pli­ca­tions from per­sons in­ter­ested in at­tend­ing the 2017/2018 aca­demic pro­gramme as from Mon­day, 11 September from 9am to noon (Mon­days to Thurs­days only).

Ap­pli­ca­tions will be re­ceived at the U3A Flo­ri­ana Cen­tre at the Catholic In­sti­tute, Flo­ri­ana (ground floor) and U3A Cot­ton­era Cen­tre at the Cot­ton­era Re­source cen­tre, St Ed­ward’s Street, Vit­to­riosa. Goz­i­tan res­i­dents may ap­ply at the Min­istry for Gozo, St Fran­cis Square, Vic­to­ria. The mem­ber­ship annual fee, cov­er­ing Oc­to­ber to June 2018, is €12.

Lec­tures will be held from Mon­days to Thurs­days from 9 to 11am at the Flo­ri­ana Cen­tre, on Tues­days and Thurs­days from 5 to 7pm at the Sliema Cen­tre, on Thurs­days from 9 to 11am at the Cot­ton­era Cen­tre and Fri­days from 9 to 11am at the Għa­jn­sielem Day Cen­tre Gozo. The pro­gramme will start on Mon­day, 9 Oc­to­ber.

The open­ing Mass for the new aca­demic year, cel­e­brated by Mgr J. Galea Curmi, will be held at the San Gorg Preca Hall at the Catholic In­sti­tute Flo­ri­ana on Fri­day, 6 Oc­to­ber at 9am. The of­fi­cial open­ing will com­mence at 10am at the same hall. The par­lia­men­tary sec­re­tary for Per­sons with Dis­abil­ity and Ac­tive Age­ing, An­thony Agius De­celis, rec­tor of the Univer­sity of Malta, Prof. Al­fred J. Vella and pro-rec­tor for Stu­dents & Staff Af­fairs and Out­reach, Dr Car­men Sam­mut, will ad­dress the mem­bers present.
