Mal­taPost or­gan­ises The Mal­tex Philatelic ex­hi­bi­tion and Col­lec­tors’ fair

Mal­taPost has or­gan­ised the Mal­tex Philatelic Ex­hi­bi­tion and Col­lec­tors’ Fair which took place be­tween 10 and 12 Oc­to­ber at the Casino Mal­tese, Val­letta. This ex­hi­bi­tion, this time round, in­vited a num­ber of en­thu­si­asts and lo­cal or­gan­i­sa­tions to dis­play their philatelic items, lit­er­a­ture, his­tor­i­cal arte­facts as well as other col­lec­tors’ items.

This year, the ex­hi­bi­tion show­cased var­i­ous col­lec­tors’ items be­yond phi­lately, such as maps, his­tor­i­cal arte­facts, sports mem­o­ra­bilia, works of art and lit­er­a­ture from lo­cal book pub­lish­ers and or­gan­i­sa­tions. Lo­cal as well as in­ter­na­tional phi­lately col­lec­tors’ dis­played an ar­ray of philatelic themes, in­clud­ing na­ture and his­tor­i­cal events. For this spe­cial event the Philatelic Bu­reau is­sued an Oc­ca­sion Card and a Per­son­alised Stamp/Cover.

The card is avail­able in mint and can­celled con­di­tion. A tem­po­rary let­ter box ser­vice was also pro­vided dur­ing the open­ing hours of the ex­hi­bi­tion. The cards and mail posted were can­celled with the Mal­tex spe­cial hand­stamp in­scribed Mal­tex 17 Malta Philatelic Ex­hi­bi­tion and Col­lec­tors’ fair.
