Optimising the synergies
On the occasion of World Tourism Day, which is celebrated worldwide every 27 September, the Gozo Tourism Association in conjunction with the Gozo NGOs Association is organising a half-day conference entitled, Optimising the synergies within the tourism and volunteering sectors.
This half-day conference, which is being held today between 9.30am and 12pm at the Grand Hotel Mgarr, will be opened by the Minister for Gozo Dr Justyne Caruana and will be also addressed by the chairman of the Gozo Tourism Association, Paul Scicluna and the president of the Gozo NGOs Association Saviour Grech.
Leslie Vella, deputy CEO and Strategic Development chief officer at the MTA, together with Laurence Zammit, managing director at Misco will both deliver presentations on how these two sectors can collaborate to improve their respective roles. Afterwards participants can actively join in group discussions on how these two vibrant sectors in Gozo can optimise their synergies.
All those involved in the touristic and volunteering sectors are urged to attend this half-day conference by registering either with the GTA or with the Gozo NGOs Association.
This initiative is being funded by the Small Initiatives Support Scheme managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector.
