PBS cannot be trusted, PN says
The two decisions taken by the Broadcasting Authority against the Public Broadcasting Services shows that PBS cannot be trusted to report the truth during the election campaign, Nationalist Party spokesman Clyde Puli said yesterday.
The BA reprimanded PBS for not reporting a court case involving the Egrant whistleblower and that a statement made by the Prime Minister was quoted in the name of the Opposition Leader.
Mr Puli expressed his disappointment at PBS’ reaction. Instead of admitting its mistake, the PBS head of news tried to justify its shortcoming by saying that it had lost only two of the six complaints filed by the PN.
PBS should have been proud had it not “mislaid” all six complaints, and not that it lost just two, Mr Puli said.
