MCAST Maltese lecturer Noel Cachia recently published a book in Maltese entitled Stejjer ta’ Dari u tal-Lum. Three hundred and twenty-five copies were sold and all proceeds have been donated to Bjorn Formosa on behalf of ALS Malta. The donation was presented to Formosa during a short ceremony held at the Institute for Community Services at MCAST.

The book is a collection of short novels that reveal and portray experiences and show the emotions of childhood. These occur and are presented in dialogues, games, feasts, places and times. These stories create and bring about a certain nostalgia of past days and childhood memories. The religious element and spirit is very strong and represented in the short stories. The protagonist ends in prayer, and trusts in God because, “He knows everything”. Other stories relate to the love towards animals and the appreciation of talents possessed by others.

Cachia, BA Hons (Maltese) has been lecturing Maltese at MCAST since 2008.
