UB irrigates green facilities with grey water

-

The City Landscaping Agency has started maintenance, landscaping and irrigation work for green facilities across Ulaanbaatar.

As 700 tons of water is required to irrigate trees and green facilities throughout the capital, the City Landscaping Agency decided to use grey water, instead of clean underground water, reported the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office this week.

Currently, the City Landscaping Agency is drawing “relatively clean” grey water that hasn’t been in contact with feces from APU Company and MCS Coca Cola LLC through a contract.

The agency told the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office that it isn’t able to reach western parts of the city as the agency runs out of water on the way because APU Company and MCS Coca Cola LLC are located in the eastern part of the city. The agency officials asked the Ulaanbaatar Mayor’s Office to help it find more companies willing to supply water or assist irrigation work.
