The UB Post - - POLITICS -

On Monday, Member of Parliament J.Batzandan met with Head of the Justice and Internal Affairs of the Ministry’s Legal Policy Department P.Sainzorig, Head of the General Policy Agency’s Legal Department L.Nyamdavaa and Head of the Administration Department of the General Executive Agency of Court Decision B.Nyamgombo to discuss implementations of the Law on Misdemeanors and amendments to the Criminal Code and Administrative Procedure Act, which were approved by Parliament this year.

Officials noted that law enforcement authorities are working to implement laws to its full capacity and implementations of the new laws are being carried out well, but they face some challenges due to the public’s lack of knowledge about the new legislations.

The MP stressed that before approving a new legislation, Parliament or other state organizations in charge should hold open discussions among the public to educate them about ongoing legislation process or to hear their opinions on the legislation.

The parties agreed to host an open discussion among government officials in charge of legal affairs, public and scholars to talk about the implementations of the new laws.
